Provincial People's Council adopts Resolution on re-arranging departments

Attending the session were Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council; and Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, among others.

At the session, delegates discussed and voted for approval of a resolution on re-arranging some departments of the provincial People’s Committee.

Under the Resolution, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Planning and Investment are merged into the Department of Finance; the Department of Construction is merged with the Department of Transport into the Department of Construction; the Department of Science and Technology is merged with the Department of Information and Communications into the Department of Science and Technology; the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is merged  with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development into the Department of Agriculture and Environment; while the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs are merged into the Department of Home Affairs.

In his closing speech, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat urged the provincial People’s Committee and related sectors to strictly carry out the Resolution to re-arrange and restructure     these departments in lien with the set timeline and ensure their effective operations in the current situation.
