The Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) and the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee jointly organised the VITA AWARDS 2026 Ceremony in Ninh Binh province on July 9 to honour localities, organisations, businesses, destinations, and exemplary tourism development models that have made significant contributions to the development of Vietnam's tourism industry.

Ninh Binh province will officially launch its new coastal tourism brand identity on July 10 evening as part of efforts to promote its seaside tourism potential and establish a distinctive destination brand.

The country received around 1.7 million international visitors in June alone, an increase of 14.7% from the same month last year, despite the month traditionally being part of the low travel season.

With strong growth momentum, strategic investment in quality tourism, upgraded infrastructure and increasingly diversified source markets, Vietnam is steadily reinforcing its position as one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic and promising tourism destinations.

Ninh Binh province welcomed more than 17.61 million tourist arrivals in the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.34%, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

Over the past decade, Trang An has become a successful example of development that regards culture as both a driving force and an objective while placing people at the centre of all development efforts.

Summer is considered the most beautiful season to visit Hang Mua. From May to July, the lotus flowers bloom at their peak, filling the air with a gentle fragrance that has long been associated with purity and elegance in Vietnamese culture.

According to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, Hoi An Ancient Town (Da Nang City), the War Remnants Museum, and the Cu Chi Tunnels (Ho Chi Minh City) have been recognised among Asia’s top attractions in Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best of Tripadvisor.

To diversify summer tourism products and enhance visitor experiences, tourist attractions across Ninh Binh Province are actively introducing a wide range of distinctive and appealing tourism and cultural activities.

The northern province of Ninh Binh has been nominated for Asia’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination at the World Travel Awards 2026 for the first time, marking a new milestone for the province known for its breathtaking natural landscapes and rich cultural identity.

Ninh Binh’s green tourism efforts have gained increasing international recognition. In 2025, the Trang An Landscape Complex received Tripadvisor’s prestigious “Best of the Best” award, placing it among the top 1% of destinations worldwide. Tam Coc Bich Dong and Bai Dinh Pagoda were also ranked among the world’s top 10% most popular destinations.

A delegation from Ninh Binh province, led by Mai Van Tuat, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Ninh Binh province, paid a working visit to Mongolia from June 2 - 4.

Through the Vietnam Japan Tourism Business B2B Networking Programme, Ninh Binh’s tourism sector aims to attract more high-quality international visitors, expand partnerships with Japanese counterparts, and promote sustainable, green tourism growth.

The opening ceremony was attended by National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh. It featured nearly 200 artists and performers. Throughout the evening programme, audiences were taken on an immersive artistic journey celebrating the rich cultural heritage and historical legacy of Ninh Binh.

One of the highlights of the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026 is the Tam Coc Golden Season Festival at the Tam Coc Bich Dong tourist site, where visitors can enjoy the vibrant rice harvest landscape alongside traditional cultural activities such as agricultural offerings processions, folk singing and traditional art performances.

The Vietnam Tourism Association, in collaboration with the Ninh Binh Provincial Tourism Association, on May 21 solemnly held a ceremony to award the “VITA GREEN Green Tourism” certification to the Trang An Eco-tourism Area, Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area, Bai Dinh Cultural Area, and Emeralda Ninh Binh Resort.

The Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026, themed “Ninh Binh - A Heritage Journey Through the Ages,” is set to offer a vibrant series of cultural, artistic, and experiential activities, promising to create a vibrant festive space at the Trang An heritage region.

A working delegation led by Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee Tran Song Tung on May 12 conducted a field survey and assessment of the potential for sustainable ecotourism development at Xuan Thuy National Park.

According to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, the province received more than 2.77 million visitors during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the April 30 May 1 holidays, up 123.9% compared to same period last year.
