In the past few years, under the close and drastic direction of the provincial Party Committee and the provincial People’s Committee, the participation of Party committees, administrations, departments, sectors, social political organisations and localities and the consensus and active response of local people, philanthropists and enterprises, the programme to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses in Ninh Binh province has mobilised social resources to create momentum for poor and disadvantaged households overcome difficulties and have a stable life, thus contributing to ensuring social welfare and reducing poverty sustainably.

The People's Committee of Ninh Binh province has just sent an official dispatch to departments, sectors, and People's Committees of communes with fishing vessels exploiting aquatic products on strengthening the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and strictly implementing the directives on fighting against IUU fishing and removing the "yellow card" warning of the European Commission (EC).
