PM asks for stronger security, public order measures for National Day holiday

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has ordered ministries, agencies and local authorities to strengthen measures to ensure national security, public order and social safety during the National Day holiday from August 29 to September 2.

Against the backdrop of a complex global geopolitical landscape marked by numerous challenges, including food crises and climate change, promoting international cooperation is considered key to strengthening countries’ capacity to overcome difficulties. Viet Nam and Africa in general, and Côte d’Ivoire in particular, have considerable room to enhance cooperation across various fields, especially economics and trade, promising to bring tangible benefits to their peoples.

Vietnam moved closer to defending their ASEAN Cup title after beating Thailand 2-0 in the first leg of the final in Bangkok on August 22, putting them in a strong position ahead of the return leg in Hanoi.
