Leaders of Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Council and Gyeonggi Provincial Council hold talks

Standing members of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council on October 14 held talks with a delegation of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council (Republic of Korea) to beef up cooperative ties and exchange experience between the people-elected agencies of the two localities.

Dang Thanh Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Council and Kim Sung Soo, member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council’s Construction and Transport Committee co-chaired the working session.
At the event, participants exchanged views on numerous issues related to agricultural production, impacts of climate change to agriculture production and jobs. They also shared experience in urban management and planning; attracting investment into industrial zones and clusters; developing tourism as well as other potential fields.

Kim highly evaluated the investment climate, development space and sustainable development orientation of Ninh Binh. He said that his delegation’s members are economic experts so that the two sides could discuss in specific cooperation fields.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Council would send Ninh Binh’s suggestions to competent agencies for further study to work out support solutions and step up practical and effective cooperation, he said.
For his part, Son expressed his wish to receive assistance from Gyeonggi in urban planning and development in a modern and sustainable manner.

As for agriculture, Ninh Binh wants to cooperate and receive technology transfer, AI application in a bid to increase productivity and the quality of farm produce, Son said.
Besides, Ninh Binh also hoped to enhance cooperation in tourism, investment attraction and tourism promotion, he added.
In the coming time, the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Council would organise a delegation to visit and study experience of Gyeonggi so as to expand cooperation in many fields, thus contributing to spur friendship relations between the two localities, Son added./.
