Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council convenes year-end session

The Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 tenure officially opened its year-end session on December 8.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the provincial People's Council Le Quoc Chinh said that the session will consider and discuss reports of the provincial People’s Committee on the performance of socio-economic tasks in 2025 and define tasks and orientations for socio-economic development in 2026.
It will consider the results of addressing voters’ opinions at the mid-year session of the provincial People’s Councils of three former provinces of Ninh Binh, Ha Nam and Nam Dinh before their merger.
The provincial People’s Council will also hold a question and answer session; consider and decide on important issues related to personal affairs under the jurisdiction the provincial People’s Council.
At the opening session, delegates heard reports of the provincial People’s Committee on the performance of socio-economic tasks in 2025 as well as tasks and orientations for socio-economic development in 2026; the results of the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly; the results of addressing voters’ opinions from the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.

In his speech, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Head of Ninh Binh’s delegation of NA deputies Dang Xuan Phong spoke highly of the outcomes that recorded by the Party Committees and administrations at all levels, business community and people over the past time.
In order to fulfill targets set for the 2026 and the whole tenure, Phong asked the provincial People’s Council, the provincial People’s Committee, departments, sectors, and business community closely follow and implement goals, targets, orientations set by the Party Central Committee’s Resolutions and Conclusions as well as directions of the National Assembly, the Government and the province.
The province should be consistent with the goals of achieving double-digit economic growth and other goals to realise the aspiration of developing robustly and sustainably in 2026 and for the whole tenure, he stressed.
At the same time, Ninh Binh will implement synchronically and drastically tasks of building and finalising master orientations on socio-economic strategies, mechanisms and policies, the official said.
The province will seize opportunities, make the most of advantages to make breakthroughs, ensure synchronous, harmonious and sustainable development; promote regional linkages, connect strategic infrastructure; strongly and selectively attract investment, identify key sectors and fields to create momentum for breakthrough growth in the period up to 2030 and the following years.
Along with economic development, it is necessary to focus on cultural development and human development; ensure good implementation of social security policies; improve the quality of health care and education; build a civilized lifestyle, preserve and promote the national cultural identity and typical spiritual values of the province.
Ninh Binh will resolutely fight against crimes and social evils; ensure order and safety, create a stable environment for economic development and people's lives, Phong noted.
The year-end meeting of the 15th provincial People's Council will last until December 9./.
