In 2025, the province recorded comprehensive and firm socio-economic development with its GRDP expanding by 10.65%, ranking third out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. Ninh Binh’s economic size now ranks among top localities of the country.
Currently, the province has around 12,000 hectares of industrial land under development and has planned for several additional industrial zones, bringing the total area to 17,000 hectares.
Ninh Binh is also home to many outstanding and unique historical and cultural values of national and international significance. Hoa Lu Ancient Capital was the capital of Vietnam's first centralised feudal state, associated with three dynasties: the Dinh, Early Le, and Ly dynasties, and the birthplace of the Tran dynasty.
The province possesses two UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex and the practice of the Tam Phu Mother Goddess worship of the Vietnamese people.
Ninh Binh has abundant human resources, training and supplying approximately 50,000 skilled workers annually, meeting the demanding needs of international businesses.
Tuan clearly stated that the province's strategic direction in the coming period is to develop in a green, sustainable, and harmonious manner. The focus will be placed on preserving cultural values while simultaneously developing unique tourism products, transforming heritage into assets.
In the industrial sector, priority will be given to attracting high-tech industrial projects and research and manufacturing. Ninh Binh province is committed to creating the most favourable conditions for businesses in accessing land and implementing projects, he promised.
The Chairman also expressed confidence that, with cultural similarities, especially the cooperative, trustworthy, and reliable relationship, both sides will soon find common ground to promote effective cooperation projects, especially in areas where Ninh Binh and Japanese businesses have strengths, such as tourism, agriculture, and retail supply chains.

Representing Japanese investors, Yuichiro Sasage, President and CEO of Komeri Group, expressed his admiration for the potential and development of Ninh Binh province. He also shared the specific business model that his company wishes to implement. Komeri is currently a leading retail group in Japan, importing several types of goods manufactured in Vietnam for sale throughout its system.
He emphasised two key product groups that Komeri wants to cooperate with Ninh Binh and other localities in Vietnam agricultural product supplies, equipment, and daily household goods these are items that are receiving very positive feedback from consumers and people in Japan.
With a successful business model in Japan, Sasage Yuichiro hoped to implement this model in Ninh Binh. He also expected that with the attention of the provincial leaders, Ninh Binh and its Japanese partners will soon establish a suitable cooperation model, opening up a new direction for sustainable development between the two sides./.
