Chairman of provincial People’s Committee works with China’s Pacific Construction Group

Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh on May 12 had a working session with a delegation of China’s Pacific Construction Group, led by its Founder and Chairman Yan Jiehe.

Hailing the Ninh Binh’s potential, strengths and development prospects, Yan wished toseek cooperative opportunities in potential fields in Ninh Binh province.
Yan also believed that under the viewpoint of “making friend firsts, then being the cooperative parners", the two sides would work together to reap success.
He also shared his viewpoints, ways and experiences in developing infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure while introducing new model “F+EPCO” - Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operation. This mode has been favoured by China investors for big projects.
Currently, the Pacific Construction Group is carrying out a strategy called “Go Global” that establish long-term cooperative ties with many countries and territories, in particular those in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa, Yan said.
In 2024, the Pacific Construction Group ranked 161st among the world’s 500 leading enterprises worldwide in the Fortune Magazine rankings and ranked 47th out of the 500 biggest companies in China.
To date, the Group has affirmed its position among leading private firms globally in field of infrastructure investment and construction.
In Vietnam, the Group has signed cooperative agreements to invest in some projects in Ha Noi city and Quang Ninh.
Simultaneously, the Group is expediting project of building its office in Vietnam.
After studying investment opportunities, the Pacific Construction Group found that Ninh Binh shares much similarities with localities in the Yangtze River region of China, assuming these are favourable conditions, potentials for investment cooperation.
Yan expressed his desire for long-term cooperation with Ninh Binh province. Accordingly, he proposed Ninh Binh province assign a focal agency to directly work with the Group in the process of cooperation and implementation of tasks and projects in the province.
Chairman of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh said that Ninh Binh province has many potential and advantages in terms of space, people and culture for development. Ninh Binh strives to become a centrally-run city by 2030. To achieve the above goal, Ninh Binh hopes to receive investment cooperation from domestic and foreign enterprises, especially large corporations with potential and strategic vision such as the Pacific Construction Group.
Binh assigned the Department of Construction to be the focal agency to coordinate with representatives of the Group to deploy work in the coming time.
He expressed his belief that there will be regular exchanges, discussions, and thorough research between the Group and Ninh Binh province to promote the advantages of both sides, and soon come up with a way to approach, mobilise resources, and specific implementation time for works and projects./.
