Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee works with Korean organisations, businesses

In his welcoming remarks, Son provided an overview of the province’s socio-economic development. He noted that Ninh Binh holds an important position along the North-South economic corridor and boasts abundant human resources and favourable conditions for the development of industry, trade, services and tourism. The province’s GRDP grew by 10.65% in 2025 and by 11.44% in the first half of 2026, placing Ninh Binh among the localities with the highest growth rates nationwide.

Ninh Binh also boasts significant advantages in culture, tourism and heritage. The Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, together with the province’s rich system of cultural heritage, landscapes and natural resources, provides a strong foundation for the province to develop green tourism, cultural industries and a sustainable heritage-based economy.

Against the backdrop of increasingly deep and extensive Vietnam-Republic of Korea relations, Ninh Binh attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with Korean localities, organisations, associations, businesses and the Vietnamese community in the RoK. Such efforts are expected to expand channels for investment and trade promotion, tourism development and people-to-people exchanges.

At the meeting, representatives of the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) proposed 10 priority cooperation programmes, focusing on providing investment support in the Korean language; developing support hubs for technology enterprises; connecting Ninh Binh businesses with the supply chains of Korean companies; and building an ecosystem for the automotive, supporting and future mobility industries.

The proposals also cover cooperation in logistics, ports, warehousing and the marine economy; promotion of Ninh Binh tourism in the Korean market; development of film, digital content and creative industries; smart agriculture, deep processing and exports of agricultural products and food; human resource training; and the organisation of an annual international investment forum.

Representatives of the Gwangju Saemaul Association expressed their appreciation for Ninh Binh’s warm reception and voiced their desire to expand cooperation in community exchanges, social initiatives and practical programmes in the province.

Highlighting Ninh Binh’s potential, advantages and favourable development environment, members of the delegation affirmed their commitment to continuing to serve as a bridge between the province and Korean partners.

They pledged to promote Ninh Binh’s image, investment environment, trade potential and tourism opportunities in the RoK, while facilitating connections between businesses, organisations and investors seeking cooperation opportunities in the province.

The delegation also held extensive discussions on people-to-people exchanges, social cooperation and the “Giving Hope” programme in Ninh Binh, with the participation of the Association of Vietnamese People in Jeonnam-Gwangju, the Gwangju Saemaul Association and other Vietnamese and Korean partners.

Concluding the meeting, Son reaffirmed that Ninh Binh places a high priority on its cooperation with the RoK and stands ready to create favourable conditions for Korean organisations, businesses and investors to explore the province’s investment and business environment.

According to the programme, on August 15, the delegation will continue participating in activities under the “Giving Hope” programme, including the inauguration and handover of charitable projects and the presentation of gifts to local residents in several areas across Ninh Binh province./.
