Ninh Binh has achieved many outstanding accomplishments in various fields, creating a solid foundation for the next phase of development.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Government Steering Committee for Macroeconomic Management and Administration, chaired the committee’s first meeting in Ha Noi on December 29.

The government has issued a resolution on providing cash handouts to revolutionary contributors and other social policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the 14th Party Congress and the Lunar New Year.

Emphasising that the successful organisation of the congress would not only create strong momentum for patriotic emulation but also provide valuable experience for preparations for the 14th National Party Congress, PM Chinh requested adjustments and refinements to decorations, exhibitions and artistic performances.

A series of socio-economic targets for 2026 has been approved by the National Assembly, including GDP growth of at least 10%; GDP per capita of 5,400 5,500 USD, consumer price index hike of around 4.5%, and labour productivity gains of about 8.5%.

The draft resolution streamlines urban classification around three key areas - role and socio-economic conditions, urbanisation level, and infrastructure development. It also integrates green, smart, climate-resilient, and digital transformation requirements, while promoting decentralisation in urban management.

Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan on December 23 led a delegation to inspect progress of some key transport projects in the province.

In accordance with the full-term working programme, the 15th plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee was held in Ha Noi from December 22 to 23, 2025. Party General Secretary To Lam presided over the meeting and delivered important speeches at both the opening and closing sessions.

Nearly a decade ago, former Ninh Binh and Ha Nam provinces and localities in the Republic of Korea (RoK) established several bilateral cooperation relationships, forming an important foundation for enhancing exchanges, visits, and cooperation in many fields. Immediately after the merger to form new Ninh Binh province, this cooperative relationship continued to be strengthened, opening up many opportunities for deeper cooperation in various fields in the future.

Ninh Binh is currently one of the localities nationwide that has completed the task of building new-style rural areas. This is not just a result of numbers, but a story of transformation for an entire region where faith, unity, and aspirations for progress are increasingly being ignited, beautifying the homeland day by day.

The session recorded substantial law-making work, accounting for nearly 30% of all laws and resolutions passed during the entire term. The laws and resolutions adopted not only address immediate practical requirements but also establish a legal framework for the new phase of development.
