    To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, together with his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, has successfully concluded a state visit to Laos, which included attending a ceremony marking the 50th National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and co-chairing the high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

    Party General Secretary To Lam suggested several measures to strengthen ties between the two NAs, including continued exchanges and sharing of experience in areas of shared concern, especially in institutional building, legal system development, supreme oversight and decision-making on significant national matters.

    The visit reaffirms the determination of the two Parties and countries to prioritise preserving and advancing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, ensuring it continues to evolve in line with the two countries’ strategic interests, vision and needs in the new period.
