Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Quang Ngoc on May 8 had a working session with foreign investors coming from Taiwan and Hong Kong (China), the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Singapore.At the working session.

At the working session, Ngoc expressed his joy to welcome and work with nearly 30 foreign investors.
He also thanked Thien Phu Co., Ltd. for its efforts to connect with these investors and call on them to make investment in the province.

Ngoc informed to the investors about Ninh Binh’s development orientations in building itself into a centrally-run city with characteristics of a millenniumheritage urban area and create city. It will develop comprehensively, rapidly and sustainably towards green growth and high quality; ensure harmony between economic development and environmental protection and between preservation and promoting of cultural, historical and heritage values.
He emphasised that the province identifies industrial development as both the foundation and the driving force for growth; taking tourism and cultural industry as key economic sectors, developing circular ecological agriculture as a pillar; taking science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as breakthroughs.
At the meeting, leaders of the provincial departments and sectors exchanged and provided specific information on the province's geographical location, history, culture, potential, strengths and outstanding achievements in socio-economic development as well as investment attraction in the province in recent times.
Accordingly, the province has so far attracted 103 FDI projects, with a total registered investment capital of over 1.8 billion USD. Of which, there are 18 projects of Taiwanese investors with a total registered capital of over 767 million USD, accounting for 42.2% of the total registered FDI capital of the province, with the main investment fields being the production and trading of electronic components, supporting industry for the automobile manufacturing and assembly industry, cement production, garment and leather footwear. FDI projects of Taiwanese investors have basically been put into stable operation, contributing to job creation for local workers and increasing the provincial budget revenue.
Currently, Ninh Binh province is focusing on attracting strategic investors with high technology, modern technology, clean technology, environmentally friendly technology, creating products with high added value, contributing greatly to the budget.
At the same time, the province is also focusing on implementing and preparing conditions in terms of planning and land to attract investment projects in infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters.
The province always welcomes and accompanies the business community and FDI investors in particular; creates and improves the most favorable and transparent investment and business environment; effectively resolves difficulties and problems of businesses and people.
Highly appreciating the potential, strengths, and development achievements of Ninh Binh province, investors also provided general information about their companies’ capacity and outstanding investment fields.
At the same time, some recommendations were proposed to promote more effective and sustainable cooperation and investment activities.
Concluding the meeting, Ngoc acknowledged the difficulties and recommendations made by investors. He also promised to assign specialised agencies to support their projects to develop successfully in Ninh Binh and expand to attract other projects.
