Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan on May 26 had a working session with a delegation from Honda Vietnam, led by its General Director Sayaka Arai.

Welcoming the delegation, Tuan emphasised that Japan remains one of Ninh Binh province’s key partners in expanding international cooperation and advancing socio-economic development. In recent years, the province has actively strengthened ties with Japanese localities, organisations, and businesses across a wide range of sectors, including investment promotion, trade, tourism, education and training, and people-to-people exchanges, he said.

The official affirmed that following the administrative restructuring at the provincial level, Ninh Binh would continue to inherit and maintain previously established cooperative relationships with Japanese partners while reviewing and evaluating existing agreements to ensure alignment with the province’s development orientations in the new period.

Honda Vietnam General Director Sayaka Arai expressed her appreciation for the support and close coordination provided by Ninh Binh authorities to the company’s operations over the years. She also discussed several issues related to the company’s production and business activities, including recommendations concerning technology transfer regulations under the Government’s Decree No. 101/2026/ND-CP.
According to information presented during the session, Honda Vietnam’s projects at Dong Van I and Dong Van II Industrial Parks are operating stably with a combined investment capital of 213.89 million USD. The facilities have an annual production capacity of 1.1 million motorcycles, generate employment for 2,725 workers, record revenues of more than 33.9 trillion VND, and contribute approximately 1.58 trillion VND to the state budget.
Tuan acknowledged Honda Vietnam’s positive contributions to local socio-economic development, job creation, and budget revenues. He also reaffirmed the province’s commitment to improving the investment climate and creating favourable conditions for both Japanese and other foreign-invested enterprises to maintain stable, long-term, and effective operations in the province.
Regarding the company’s recommendations on technology transfer regulations, Ninh Binh authorities said they would assign relevant agencies to study and consolidate the proposals before reporting them to central ministries and agencies for consideration, with the aim of promptly addressing difficulties facing businesses and fostering sustainable local development./.
