The northern province of Ninh Binh is gearing up for a surge in visitors during this year’s five-day National Day holiday, from August 29 to September 2. As the final extended holiday of the year, the break is expected to draw large crowds to the province, prompting tourism sites, accommodation providers and restaurants to step up preparations to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for visitors.
Ninh Binh’s tourism sector continued to enjoy positive growth in July and in the first seven months of 2026 with a year-on-year increase of over 20% in both number of tourist arrivals and revenue, thus creating momentum for the province to fulfill its yearly target.
According to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, the province received more than 2.77 million visitors during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the April 30 May 1 holidays, up 123.9% compared to same period last year.
During the National Reunification Day May Day holiday (April 30 May 1), Ninh Binh’s tourism sector recorded a high increase in the number of visitors to local destinations.
