Viet Nam among top five most searched summer destinations by European travellers
According to digital travel platform Agoda, Viet Nam has officially entered the top five most searched Asian destinations among European travellers for the summer of 2025.
The list was compiled during the peak travel months of July and August. Thailand tops the ranking, followed by Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and Viet Nam — marking the first time the country has appeared on the list, affirming its growing appeal on Asia’s summer tourism map.
Agoda’s report was based on accommodation search data from July and August 2025, coinciding with the peak holiday season in Europe.
France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia and Norway were the five European countries with the highest number of searches for travel to Viet Nam this summer.
In addition to familiar markets, Viet Nam also attracted attention from emerging European countries. Search volumes from Hungary rose significantly by 320% compared to the same period last year, followed by Turkey (288%) and Poland (153%).
These figures indicate that Viet Nam is increasingly becoming a sought-after destination across the continent.
In Viet Nam, the three most favoured cities among European travellers this summer are Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi. The blend of fresh coastal air and the vibrant pace of urban life has made these cities stand out in the eyes of European visitors.
These destinations are set to continue drawing in European travellers eager to explore Viet Nam’s natural landscapes, unique cultural heritage, and the dynamic rhythms of its cities.
