Ninh Binh serves over 1.36 million tourists during Tet holiday

Ninh Binh is estimated to welcome about 1.36 million travellers during the six-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday from February 14 19, according to the prpvincial Department of Tourism

The department reported that the province served nearly 230,000 foreign tourists and 1.36 million domestic travellers during this period.
The sector’s earned over 2 trillion VND in revenue (88 million USD).
Notably, a part from traditional markets, the province has lured a remarkable increase of holidaymakers from India and some EU countries.
Visitor numbers surged at key attractions, namely Trang An ecological site, Hoa Lu Old Quarter, Bai Dinh pagoda, Thung Nham ecological site…

Total tourism revenue across the province is estimated at 2,000 billion VND (88 million USD).

According to Director of Department of Tourism, the tourism sector issued a series of directives to steer local accommodation facilities, destinations proactively prepared infrastructure and manpower, increase quality of service to better serve domestic and foreign demand.
Besides, the social order and traffic safety have been strictly ensured. Local police forces remain on duty at key attractions/sites with high volumes of tourists reduce congestion promptly.
The impressive growth recorded during the Tet holiday provides an important foundation for Ninh Binh’s tourism sector to sustain its growth momentum in 2026, move toward sustainable development, and enhance the province’s position on the regional and international tourism map.
