PepsiCo Foods Vietnam Company inaugurated its PepsiCo Ninh Binh Foods Factory in the expanded Dong Van I Industrial Park in Ninh Binh province on November 25.

The facility covers 80,000 sq.m and is designed to produce more than 25,000 tonnes of snacks per year.
The plant features advanced production lines with automation and digitalisation to improve product quality, optimise operations and ensure stable and efficient output.

Nguyen Viet Ha, General Director of PepsiCo Vietnam Foods Company, said that the project has total capital investment of nearly 90 million USD. The project has been completed in just 51 weeks a record of PepsiCo in the Asia-Pacific region.
PepsiCo said the factory follows its global sustainability strategy, PepsiCo Positive (pep+), with rooftop solar power and a biomass system using agricultural by-products. These solutions are expected to help reduce CO2 emissions and support Việt Nam’s net zero commitments.
Once fully operational, the factory is expected to generate more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs in production, packaging and logistics, while supporting local raw material development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial people’s committee Nguyen Cao Son said the project highlighted international investment cooperation and reinforced the province’s role as an attractive destination for global corporations thanks to its transparent business environment, stable policies and improving infrastructure.
He pledged to support the factory’s operations and future expansion, while urging the company to maintain its social responsibility and sustainability efforts.
In order for the factory to operate effectively and maximise its potential, Son asked the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks take the lead and coordinate closely with departments, branches, sectors and local authorities to accompany the business, promptly remove difficulties, and create the most favorable conditions in the process of operation and production expansion.
Local organisations, business associations and people should actively coordinate, support and create a favourable environment for the project to operate safely and effectively, making practical contributions to the socio-economic development of the province and the country, becoming a typical model of international investment cooperation, he suggested./.
