According to statistics, Ninh Binh province currently has more than 30,000 businesses, mainly small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In recent times, SMEs in the province have contributed to creating many new jobs for workers, increasing the competitiveness of products in the market, and contributing positively to the State budget revenue. However, in the process of production and business activities, many SMEs have encountered many difficulties, needing support and attention from the State.
In order to support enterprises to overcome difficulties, the provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province have assigned sectors and localities to regularly review and remove obstacles for projects that have been licensed but have not been implemented or are being implemented, thereby unlocking investment resources.
Sectors and localities have promptly grasped the recommendations of enterprises and organisations to promptly resolve and support enterprises in production and business; arranged cleared land plots for investors to build production facilities in groups, to reduce freight costs and improve efficiency in industrial production; proactively connected businesses, and created conditions to support businesses to consume each other's products, especially foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises to create linkages in production and business.
In addition, the province has promptly supported and mobilised businesses to focus on digital transformation and innovation.
In the credit sector, commercial banks in Ninh Binh province are required to survey businesses' loan needs, adjust loan interest rates in accordance with deposit interest rates; and continue to reform administrative procedures in the disbursement process and ensure timely disbursement.
Relevant agencies and localities have focused on solving the local labour shortage in some businesses, implementing training programmes and vocational skills development for workers to meet actual recruitment needs.
Tran Quang Huy, Director of the provincial Centre for Investment Promotion and Enterprise Development Support, said that the province is implementing the one-stop shop and one-stop shop mechanism; reducing and simplifying administrative procedures according to Resolution 66/NQ-CP dated March 26, 2025; improving the quality of public services; and at the same time issuing a project to streamline and shorten the time for processing administrative procedures in the province.
At the same time, Ninh Binh province is continuingnto improve infrastructure to create a foundation for attracting investment.
Specifically, Ninh Co Economic Zone has been established with an area of 13,950 hectares and is being invested in infrastructure in stages, expected to be completed by 2030. Ha Nam High-Tech Park has been also established with an area of 663.19 hectares.
According to the development orientation, Ninh Binh province plans to add 53 industrial parks with an area of 12,144 hectares. Of which, currently, 20 industrial parks have been put into operation with an average occupancy rate of 50%, 12 industrial parks have been established with an area of 2,562 hectares and are clearing land to build infrastructure to attract investment; three industrial parks have had their planning approved and are attracting infrastructure investors; eight parks are being planned; and 10 parks are studying and proposing planning schemes.
With the synchronous participation of authorities at all levels and sectors and the self-efforts of enterprises, it is expected that in the coming time, SMEs in Ninh Binh province will gradually overcome difficulties, improve production and business efficiency, thereby contributing to increasing the value of industrial production in the province./.
