According to Department of Statistics, in the January February period, the index of industrial production (IIP) rose 10.4% compared with the same period last year. In which, mining surges 37.50%; the processing and manufacturing sector expanded 36.86%; electricity production and distribution rose 8.57%; water supply and waste management increase 5.12%.
The industrial sector has shown clearer positive signs and a relatively solid recovery momentum and contributed to the overall-economic growth of the province.
A number of major industrial products posted significant increases year on year, including beverage manufacturing, up 77.53%; electronic products, computers, optics, up 71.19%; paper products, 70.56%; processed woods, up 67.17%.
Meanwhile, textile declined 12.30% and metal production fell 25.22%.
