Ninh Binh: Various activities paying tribute to war heroes, martyrs

On the evening of July 26, the Youth Union of Ninh Binh’s Department of culture and sports, the people’s committee of Kim Thanh ward, and the youth union of the Department Public Security jointly held a programme honouring fallen heroes, veterans.

The event featured a special art programmes and presenting portrait of fallen soldiers to their families.

Carrying the message of "Eternal flame of gratitude”, the programme was not only a remembrance of those who never returned from the battlefields but also a pledge by today's generation to continue bringing fallen heroes home to their families and homelands.

The programme was a profoundly significant political communication event, reflecting the care and responsibility of the Party, State, military and society towards the search, recovery and identification of fallen soldiers' remains. It also expressed the deep gratitude of today's generation to the martyrs who sacrificed their youth for national independence, freedom and peace and happiness.

The organisation board also presented 30 portraits of fallen sodiers to their relatives in Kim Thanh ward.

*Incense offering and candle-lighting ceremonies took place the Kim Chinh Martyrs' Cemetery in the Phat Diem commune on the evening of July 26 to mark the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

Delegates, youth volunteers and local residents offered flowers and incense, observed a minute of silence and lit candles at every grave in a solemn tribute to the fallen.

*On this occasion, many localities organised many gratitude activities across the province.

Individuals, political and social organizations have paid a lot of visits, offered gifts, and provided free medical check-ups to war veterans, wounded soldiers, martyrs' families, and people credited with revolutionary service.
