The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on April 11 announced the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2022 rankings.

In the first quarter of 2023, the northern province of Ninh Binh disbursed over 889.6 billion VND (38.2 million USD), equivalent to 12% of the yearly plan.

The Vietnamese economy expanded by 3.23% over the January-March period, the second slowest first-quarter growth in 12 years, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

While the whole country in general and Ninh Binh in particular have been facing difficulties, especially in industrial production and exports, the trade and service sectors have been flourishing.
