Home to thousands of rare and precious birds, Thung Nham offers visitors a glimpse of nature’s untouched beauty.
Thung Nham Bird Park spans over 300 hectares and shelters around 50,000 birds from 46 species. It hosts approximately 5,000 bird nests, and several species recorded here are listed in Vietnam’s Red Book for endangered wildlife, such as Lesser Flamingo and Oriental pied hornbill.
During peak breeding season, from August to April, there are millions of birds gathering at the sanctuary.
The sight of thousands of birds flapping in the sky of dawn or twilight mixing with their sounds and calls are wonderful natural wonders that leave a strong impression on visitors.
The ideal time for birdwatching is the earlye morning or the late afternoon when hundreds of birds come out from their nests to look for foods or coming back to their nests after a long day.
