Party General Secretary To Lam and other current and former Party and State leaders attended a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the education sector and the opening of the 2025 2026 school year on September 5 in Hanoi.

Vietnam has implemented 40 amnesties in 80 years. Since 2009, 11 presidential decisions have benefited nearly 100,000 prisoners.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has penned an article titled “Government under Party’s leadership: 80-year journey for the nation, for the people” on the occasion of the Government's 80th founding anniversary.
