Ninh Binh has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting businesses, promptly addressing challenges, and creating the most favorable conditions for Korean enterprises to invest, operate, and grow sustainably in the province.
Dinh Thi Lua, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province, presents gifts to KBIZ Vice Chairman Oh Kee Woong.
As part of its working visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK), on May 29, a delegation from Ninh Binh province, led by Dinh Thi Lua, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province, held a meeting with the Korea Federation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (KBIZ).
At the meeting, Lua highlighted Ninh Binh’s strengths, development potential, and strategic vision for the coming years. The province is striving to become a centrally governed city before 2030, with a development model centered on modern industry and green urban growth closely linked to heritage preservation. In this process, the RoK has been identified as one of Ninh Binh’s most important strategic partners.
Ninh Binh hopes that KBIZ will continue introducing and connecting its member enterprises with investment opportunities in the province, particularly in supporting industries for automobiles, electronics, precision engineering, green technology, and logistics. The province also seeks to strengthen cooperation in trade promotion, technology transfer, and the development of a highly skilled workforce to meet future development requirements.
Lua emphasised that Ninh Binh remains committed to accompanying businesses, promptly resolving difficulties, and providing the most favorable investment environment for Korean companies to operate effectively and sustainably in the province.
At the meeting, KBIZ Vice Chairman Oh Kee Woong highly appreciated Ninh Binh’s investment potential, business environment, and development orientation.
He affirmed that the Association would continue serving as a bridge to encourage its member enterprises to explore investment and cooperation opportunities in Vietnam, particularly in Ninh Binh province.
Oh also expressed his hope that Ninh Binh would continue supporting Korean businesses during the process of exploring and implementing investment projects in the province.
Earlier, on May 28, the Ninh Binh delegation paid a working visit to the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK.
At the meeting, Ambassador Vu Ho provided an overview of the RoK’s socio-economic situation, Vietnam RoK relations, and the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in the country.
According to the Ambassador, after more than 30 years of diplomatic relations, Vietnam RoK cooperation has continued to expand comprehensively, substantively, and effectively across various sectors. The RoK is currently one of Vietnam’s most important economic partners, the largest foreign investor, and Vietnam’s third-largest trading partner.

People-to-people exchanges remain a highlight of bilateral relations, with approximately 352,000 Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in the RoK, while around 200,000 Koreans live and conduct business in Vietnam. Labour cooperation between the two countries also continues to be maintained effectively through various workforce development programmes and partnerships.
Recognising the positive cooperation outcomes between Ninh Binh and Korean localities and enterprises, Ho affirmed that the embassy would continue supporting the province in strengthening connections with Korean local administrations, associations, businesses, and investors.
For her part, Lua reiterated Ninh Binh’s development vision, which focuses on building a modern industrial economy, developing high-quality tourism and service sectors, and promoting green urban development while preserving and enhancing heritage values. The province aims to become one of Vietnam’s leading localities in terms of economic growth and per capita income.
She also noted that following the provincial merger, Ninh Binh has continued maintaining cooperative relations with nine Korean localities established previously. The RoK remains one of the province’s key investment and trade partners, with 218 FDI projects and total registered capital of approximately 2.6 billion USD.
Ninh Binh hopes to continue receiving support from the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK in connecting with potential Korean localities, associations, enterprises, and investors in areas such as high-tech industries, supporting industries, trade, logistics, green infrastructure, tourism, and cultural industries. The province also seeks assistance in promoting the image of Ninh Binh, its people, and its unique cultural and ecological values to Korean partners and the wider public, she added./.
