The management boards of Trang An ecological site; Tam Coc Bich Dong tourist area and Bai Dinh pagoda have announced to stop selling tickets for visitors from 9.30 am on July 21 until further notice.
Currently, thousands of boats serving tourists at the Trang An Eco-tourism site and Tam Coc Bich Dong have been anchored to avoid the storm.
Boat drivers and staff are also focusing on securing trees and houses to avoid damage caused by the storm.
Previously, on July 20, the provincial Department of Tourism sent a document to communes, wards, tourist areas, and tourism businesses on proactively monitoring the weather and implementing plans to prevent storm No. 3.
The department requested tourist areasand site, and service establishments to proactively implement plans to prevent the storm and floods in a timely and effective manner, prioritising the safety of tourists' lives.
In case of bad weather, they mustimmediately stop sightseeing activities and promptly notify tourists, travel agencies, and authorities.
They are asked to arrange rescue forces and vehicles at key locations; publicise hotline numbers; and install adequate signs and warnings of danger.
They are also urged to organise training in first aid and emergency handling skills for employees and coordinate closely with authorities in all situations.
Meanwhile, hotels, restaurants, and other service establishments were requested to proactively monitor weather conditions, and develop and implement appropriate storm prevention plans.
Establishments must check and reinforce infrastructure, ensure safety for visitors and employees, prepare necessities, and arrange staff to be on duty round the clock during the storm, the department said./.
