Ninh Binh suspends several tourism routes and services amid storm, heavy rains
The Thung Nham Ecotourism Site suspended sightseeing activities from August 23, while overnight stays in Cuc Phuong National Park have been suspended since August 21. Xuan Thuy National Park has temporarily halted river-mouth cruise services.
Meanwhile, coastal tourism areas including Thinh Long, Hai Tien and Giao Ninh suspended operations from 17:00 on August 22 following a ban on sea activities under Official Dispatch No. 06/CĐ-UBND issued by the Provincial People's Committee on August 21.
Tourist sites and attractions across the province are closely monitoring weather developments and proactively implementing measures to ensure visitors’ safety. The reopening of these destinations will be decided based on weather conditions and the actual situation.
Under the influence of Storm No. 4's circulation, Ninh Binh has experienced moderate to heavy, locally very heavy, rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in recent days.
In light of the complex weather conditions, the provincial Department of Tourism has advised visitors to check weather forecasts and the operational status of tourist sites before travelling; follow instructions from site management boards and authorities; and avoid entering areas subject to warnings or temporary closures.
