Ninh Binh promotes cultural exchange, tourism cooperation in Mongolia

At the meeting, Tuat provided an overview of Ninh Binh province and expressed his hope that the Ambassador and the embassy would continue to serve as a reliable bridge in promoting the image, culture, and people of Ninh Binh to the Mongolian public.
He reaffirmed Ninh Binh province’s commitment to maintaining close coordination with the Embassy of Vietnam in Mongolia and creating the most favourable conditions for Mongolian agencies, organisations, and businesses seeking opportunities for cooperation and investment in the province.
For his part, Thanh highlighted the significant potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia, particularly in tourism and cultural development. He also shared insights on attracting investment in these sectors and pledged the embassy’s continued support in facilitating connections and promoting substantive and effective cooperation between Ninh Binh and Mongolian partners.
During the visit, the delegation held a working session with Mongolia’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth. The delegation was welcomed by Bat-Chimeg, Secretary-General of the Ministry, along with representatives of the Mongolian Tourism Association and the Mongolian Hotel Association.

Bat-Chimeg highly appreciated Ninh Binh’s remarkable achievements, particularly in tourism and heritage conservation. She noted that Mongolia regards culture and tourism as key pillars of its sustainable development strategy, closely linked to preserving national identity and nurturing younger generations. She expressed her desire to strengthen cooperation with Ninh Binh in areas where both sides possess comparative strengths.
Speaking at the meeting, Tuat proposed enhanced cooperation and experience-sharing in tourism destination management and operations; preservation and promotion of cultural and natural heritage linked to sustainable development; digital transformation and technology applications in tourism management and promotion; joint destination marketing activities; and the facilitation of connections between tourism associations and travel businesses to gradually develop tourism programs and routes linking potential destinations in Ninh Binh and Mongolia.
Reaffirming Ninh Binh’s commitment to cooperation, Tuat emphasised that the province would continue to create favourable conditions for Mongolian tourism agencies, organisations, and enterprises to explore partnership opportunities and develop tourism-related activities in the province.
The two sides exchanged views on tourism development potential and future cooperation orientations, aiming to strengthen friendship and foster practical and effective collaborative programs in the years ahead.
The delegation also held a working session with the administration of Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. The meeting was hosted by Amgalanbaga Amartuvshin, Vice Governor of Ulaanbaatar.

During the discussion, Tuat shared Ninh Binh’s investment attraction priorities and expressed his hope that both sides would further promote local-level cooperation, particularly in tourism development.
He proposed Ulaanbaatar share its experiences in green infrastructure development, waste management, climate change adaptation in large urban areas, and the preservation of traditional culture amid urbanisation.
At the same time, Ninh Binh stands ready to share its experience in managing the Trang An Landscape Complex, a mixed cultural and natural heritage site recognized by UNESCO as a model for balancing heritage conservation with community livelihoods, he said.
Amartuvshin, for his part, expressed strong support for Ninh Binh’s proposals and provided an overview of Ulaanbaatar, highlighting its population of more than 1.7 million people. He noted that the city faces significant challenges in infrastructure development, particularly in transport, and therefore values opportunities to learn from Ninh Binh’s experience in green and sustainable growth.
He also shared Ulaanbaatar’s experience in applying digital technologies and software solutions to governance and the operation of elected bodies, including members of parliament and local councils. He expressed his hope that the two localities would soon establish formal relations and sign cooperation agreements across various sectors, thereby strengthening ties in the future.
As part of the visit, the Ninh Binh delegation conducted field surveys at the Genghis Khan Statue Complex and Gorkhi-Terelj National Park to gain insights into destination management policies, operational models, heritage conservation, environmental protection, ecotourism development, and the preservation and promotion of cultural and historical values./.
