The 20th Volleyball Championship Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2026 officially opened in the evening of March 18 at the Ninh Binh Gymnasium.

The festival aims to honour the country’s traditional 'pho' craft while contributing practical evidence and data to support the preparation of a dossier seeking UNESCO recognition for 'pho' as a world cultural heritage.

Families across the northern province of Ninh Binh gathered at pagodas, temples and shrines in the early hours of the first day of the Lunar New Year (February 17) to offer incense and pray for peace and prosperity.

The ceremonial part will proceed with full solemnity under traditional rites, including commemorative orations, incense offerings to the Tran Kings, water and land processions, and other ritual observances.
