Ninh Binh inaugurates new route connecting Nam Dinh, Lac Quan and coastal road

The Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee on December 19 held an inauguration ceremony for a new route connecting Nam Dinh, Lac Quan and coastal road.
Delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the project.
The event saw the attendance of Mai Van Tuat, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, among others.

The Nam Dinh - Lac Quan - coastal road has a total length of over 32 kilometers. The project has total investment capital of over 9 trillion VND, and it is divided into three sub-projects.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Cao Son stressed the important role of the project as a strategic transport infrastructure that connects the urban centre of Nam Dinh with coastal economic regions; connects national highway with Ninh Binh Hai Phong expressway (CT.08) and Phu Ly-Nam Dinh (CT.11) and other national highways 21, 21B, 37B, provincial roads and coastal road.
It also helps ease traffic load for current roads and is expected to spur the province’s socio-economic development, and attract investment into urban, industry, tourism and sea economy.
In order for the project to be put into operation and use to promote investment efficiency, the provincial People’s Committee urged departments, sectors and related localities to focus on planning and management of sea area and coastal areas; supplement and finalise connecting transport system to as to fully exploit potential, advantages and create momentum for developing socio-economy, industry, urban, service of the Red River Delta and forming new economic momentum growth in a fast, sustainable manner.
