In the atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the Ninh Binh provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony on April 19 to inaugurate the East-West road project (first phase).Delegates cut ribbon to inaugurate East-West road project (first phase).
Attending the ceremony were members of the Party Central Committee: Vice President and General Secretary of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, who is also former Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan.

Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Mai Van Tuat; and Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s committee Pham Quang Ngoc also attended the event, among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Pham Quoc Chinh, Director of the provincial management board of transport projects, who is a representative of the investor, said the East-West road project has a total length of 22.95 kilometers with total investment capital of over 1.9 trillion VND. It has a huge workload.
The project has been completed 20 months ahead of schedule.
After 36 months of construction, main items of the work have been completed and put into operation, thus serving socio-economic development and travel demand for local people.

The outcomes were attributed to the direction and attention of Ninh Binh authorities in removing difficulties for the investor and contractors to carry out the project.
In addition, the investor has received cooperation and active participation of local administrations, sectors and agencies in dealing with hindrances and arising problems.
Consulting units and contractors have made great efforts to expedite the project with the motto of “quality – safety – progress - effectiveness.”
At the ceremony, 20 collectives and 68 individuals, who made great contributions to the implementation of the project, were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
