    Vietnam rolls out national child protection programme through 2030

    The programme seeks to reduce child abuse nationwide and provide timely protection and comprehensive support for child victims of violence, sexual abuse and illegal child labour, children at risk of violence, exploitation and neglect, as well as those of other special circumstances.

    Vietnam Summer Camp 2026 strengthens overseas youths’ bonds with homeland

    The Vietnam Summer Camp 2026 is taking place from July 12 to 25, with participants travelling through localities across the country’s northern, central and south-central regions, including Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Gia Lai and Khanh Hoa.

    Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said the participants return to Vietnam at a particularly significant moment, as the country enters a new stage of development following the 14th National Party Congress. She noted that the ongoing reorganisation of administrative units has created new development space for localities and the nation, unlocking fresh potential, encouraging innovation and providing new momentum for faster and more sustainable growth.

    Vietnam posts 8.18% GDP growth in H1 2026

    Vietnam's socio-economic performance remained strong in the first six months of 2026, with positive results recorded across most sectors. Gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 8.18% year-on-year, up from the 7.63% growth recorded in the same period of 2025.

    Ninh Binh actively prepares for hosting of Vietnam Summer Camp 2026

    In order to strengthen the connection between young overseas Vietnamese and the homeland, and to promote the image, culture, and tourism potential of Vietnam to the Vietnamese community abroad, the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant departments and agencies to coordinate the hosting of the "Vietnam Summer Camp 2026" for Vietnamese young people and students abroad.

    Japan remained the top destination, taking in 24,030 workers, including 10,750 women. Taiwan (China) followed with 21,104 workers, 6,752 of them women. The Republic of Korea (RoK) received 3,217, China 1,498, Singapore 704, Greece 441 and Russia 344.
