Nearly 5,000 officials, soldiers, students, labourers and residents in Ninh Binh joined the nationwide “Marching forward with Vietnam” walking program on August 30, contributing more than 44 million steps and promoting fitness, national unity and green living.
The provincial-level walking event in Ninh Binh took take place at 6:00 AM on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Dinh Tien Hoang De square in Hoa Lu ward.
Deputy Secretary of provincial people’s committee, President of Vietnamese Fatherland front committee in Ninh Binh Dinh Thi Lua attended the event.
The program was part of a nationwide launch held simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities, covering 3,321 communes, wards and special administrative zones.
The event marked the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution, the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Forces and Vietnam’s National Day.
It also responded to the campaigns “All People Exercise Following the Example of Great Uncle Ho” and “Healthy to Build and Defend the Nation.”
The simultaneous participation of people across 34 provinces and cities also aims to establish a new Guinness World Record, highlighting the program’s ability to connect communities nationwide.
Each step is associated with a message of green living and the goal of achieving Net Zero. The program promotes walking and environmentally friendly forms of transport while raising awareness of emissions reduction, environmental protection and sustainable development.
