Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan on January 6 received General Director of Honda Vietnam Sayaka Arai.
At the receiption.
Honda Vietnam is currently implementing a project to manufacture and sell Honda motorcycles, motorcycle parts and accessories, provide warranty and maintenance services, and invest in the construction of a housing complex for workers in Ninh Binh. The project is being implemented at two locations: a manufacturing plant in Dong Van II Industrial Park and a worker housing complex in Dong Van I Industrial Park. The total investment for the entire project was 211.5 million USD and officially commenced operations in October 2014.
During its operation, in 2025 alone, the manufacturing plant in Dong Van II Industrial Park contributed 1.58 trillionVND to the state budget and created stable jobs for 2,725 workers. The worker housing complex in Dong Van I Industrial Park was also completed and put into use in February 2022, contributing to improving living conditions and ensuring social security for workers.
At the meeting, Tuan provided an overview of Ninh Binh province's potential and strengths in terms of geographical location, infrastructure, mechanisms, policies, and investment attraction orientation.
He highly appreciated Honda Vietnam's contributions to Ninh Binh, not only creating added value in industrial production and increasing budget revenue, but also making significant contributions to ensuring social welfare, caring for the lives of workers, and actively promoting traffic safety in the province.
He emphasised that Ninh Binh province acknowledges Honda Vietnam's partnership with the province in many major goals, such as: implementing the "Investment in the construction of at least 1 million social housing units for low-income earners and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2030" project; and actively implementing green transition in production. These are important foundations for Honda Vietnam to become one of the positive contributors to the local development of a green and circular economy.
The Chairman affirmed that the province always creates the best conditions for businesses to operate and maintain long-term ties with Ninh Binh, creating core, sustainable values for both the businesses and the socio-economic development of the province.
For her part, Sayaka Arai said that current labourer recruitment faces many difficulties. Therefore, Honda Vietnam is striving to create better conditions for workers to attract and retain high-quality labourers, fostering long-term commitment to the company.
Within the province, the company hopes to have land available to build social welfare facilities for its workers. If favourable infrastructure conditions are available, Honda Vietnam could expand production in Ninh Binh, thereby increasing industrial production value and exports, she said.
Honda Vietnam is ready to cooperate with the province and hopes to have a specific roadmap to ensure it aligns with the province’s development goals and orientations, the General Director added./.
