With expanded administrative boundaries and growth potential following the mergence, Ninh Binh province is accelerating its efforts to attract large-scale industrial park infrastructure investors.

Recently, Tran Huy Tuan, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee held a meeting with Somhatai Panichewa, CEO of Amata Vietnam PCL. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the investment environment, industrial park development orientation, and the possibility of long-term cooperation between the province and leading industrial infrastructure investors in the region.
Somhatai highly appreciated the expanding development space and favourable conditions for socio-economic development.
This survey trip aimed to gain a deeper understanding of Ninh Binh's potential, advantages, and industrial park development orientation, as a basis for future research and investment proposals, she said.
Introducing the Amata Corporation, Somhatai stated that Amata is one of the largest and most reputable industrial park infrastructure developers in Thailand and Southeast Asia, established in 1989. The group focuses on developing integrated industrial parks based on a modern model, linking industry, urban areas, services, and logistics.
In Vietnam, Amata has over 30 years of experience, investing in and developing numerous large-scale industrial parks with integrated infrastructure, such as Amata City Bien Hoa, Amata City Long Thanh, and Amata City Ha Long.
In the context of global supply chain shifts, Amata is studying and implementing large-scale industrial park projects in several new locations, with a total expected investment of billions of USD. The Amata representative expressed her desire to explore and invest in large-scale projects in Ninh Binh.

Tuan provided an overview of the newly-merged Ninh Binh, formed by the mergence of Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, and Nam Dinh. The larger area and population allow the province to expand its development space and increase its growth potential in the coming period, he said.
According to the planning orientation, Ninh Binh is focusing on investing in a comprehensive strategic infrastructure system, including deep-water ports, airports, high-speed railways, and inter-regional transportation networks, creating a foundation for enhancing competitiveness and attracting large-scale industrial and logistics projects.
Currently, the province has 32 industrial parks, of which 20 are already operational. Ninh Binh is reviewing and adjusting its planning towards developing industrial parks with integrated infrastructure, environmental friendliness, and a driving force for growth.
The Chairman affirmed that Ninh Binh is ready to welcome strategic investors, including the Amata Corporation. The province also committed to creating a transparent investment environment, streamlined administrative procedures, and providing maximum support during the research and implementation of the project.
The province also assigned the Management Board of the Economic Zone and Industrial Parks as the focal point to coordinate and work directly with Amata in the coming period./.
