Leaders of Ninh Binh province and Ministry of National Defence attend military handover and enlistment ceremonies

Localities across Ninh Binh province held handover and enlistment ceremonies on March 4 to see off more than 6,000 young people voluntarily registering to join the military and public security forces this year.
General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Deputy Minister of National Defence and Tran Huy Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council, attended the ceremonyin Nam Dinh ward.
Also attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Luong Van Kiem, Commander of Military Region 3, andBui Hoang Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, among others.
At the troop handover point No. 7, up to 667 new recruits from 12 wards and communes (Nam Dinh, Thien Truong, Dong A, Vi Khe, Thanh Nam, Truong Thi, Hong Quang, My Loc, Minh Tan, Hien Khanh, Vu Ban, Lien Minh) set off to fulfill their glorious duty of defending the Fatherland, following in the glorious tradition of previous generations.
The new recruits will be assigned to training at military units within the province and nationwide.
Speaking to encourage the new recruits, Ha congratulated the young people, urging them to uphold the patriotic tradition and the spirit and responsibility of youth, and to confidently and enthusiastically embark on the sacred duty of defending the Fatherland. This is not only a legally mandated duty, but also a source of pride and an opportunity for young people to hone their character, willpower, and personality in the "great school" of the People's Army and Public Security Force, he said.
At the troop handover ceremony, General Cuong, Tuan and leaders of Military Region 3 and departments and agencies presented flowers and encouraged the new recruits to study, train, and strive to fulfill their assigned tasks.
Attending the troop handover ceremony at troop handover point No. 8, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Lua presented flowers to encourage 535 outstanding young people from 12 communes, including Nam Truc, Nam Minh, Nam Dong, Nam Ninh, Nam Hong, Dong Thinh, Nghia Hung, Nghia Son, Hong Phong, Quy Nhat, Nghia Lam, and Rang Dong to fulfill their military service obligations and 46 youths to fulfill their obligations to join the People's Public Security Force.
Meanwhile, Le Quoc Chinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Major General To Thanh Quyet, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3, attended the troop handover ceremony at troop handover point No. 3.
At this troop handover point, 633 outstanding young people from 12 communes - Binh Son, Thanh Liem, Thanh Tam, Tan Thanh, Thanh Binh, Yen Yen, Yen Dong, Yen Cuong, Van Thang, Vu Duong, Tan Minh, and Phong Doanh - departed to fulfill their duty of defending the Fatherland in military and police units in the province and other localities nationwide.
Mai Van Tuat, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province,attended the troop handover ceremony at troop handover point No. 4.
During this year's recruitment drive, at recruitment point number 4 (Command of Defense Zone 2 - Tam Diep), 632 outstanding young people from 12 communes and wards, including Tam Diep, Yen Son, Trung Son, Yen Thang, Hoa Lu, Tay Hoa Lu, Nam Hoa Lu, Dong Hoa Lu, Yen Mo, Yen Tu, Yen Mac, and Dong Thai, enlisted in the military, achieving 100% of the assigned target. Of these, 506 recruits performed military service, and 126 joined the People's Public Security Force./.
