Vietnam Private Sector Economic Forum 2026 holds local dialogue session in Ninh Binh province

Themed “Vietnam’s Private Economy: Institutional Breakthroughs Public-Private Partnership,” the event was part of the local dialogue series under VPSF 2026, bringing together representatives from state agencies, experts, scholars, and the business community to discuss solutions for advancing the private sector.

Speaking at the forum, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee Dang Thanh Son emphasised that developing the private sector is of strategic importance for the province’s goal of achieving rapid, green, and sustainable growth.

He noted that with a new development space, Ninh Binh’s economy reached a scale of 342.8 trillion VND (13.02 billion USD) in 2025, with a growth rate of 10.65%. This provides the province with greater opportunities to leverage its advantages in industry, tourism, services, logistics, and high-tech agriculture.

Ninh Binh is committed to further improving its investment and business environment, accelerating administrative reform and digital transformation, while strengthening dialogue, listening to businesses, and accompanying enterprises to create favourable conditions for their development, Sonsaid.

At the forum, experts, scientists, and entrepreneurs focused their discussions on solutions to build coordination mechanisms for the private business ecosystem, develop platforms for business data connectivity, improve access to development resources, promote value chain linkages, and maintain regular dialogue mechanisms between local authorities and the business community.

Participants also proposed launching a “12-month business support programme” to assist household businesses in transitioning into enterprises.

Businesses raised concerns regarding the implementation of regulations on training and technology transfer in the corporate environment, the standardization of digital assets and compliance with intellectual property regulations, as well as the completion of support policies for innovative startups and small- and medium-sized enterprises.

Delegates also put forward recommendations on tax policy reform, administrative procedure simplification, and improving the effectiveness of risk-based management mechanisms.

Concluding the forum, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Young Entrepreneurs Association Nguyen Duc Cuong, who is also chair of the dialogue session, said the association would compile recommendations raised at the event and submit them to the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee, relevant departments and agencies, as well as the central organising committee of VPSF 2026 for consideration, research, and policy improvement.

Within the framework of the local dialogue session of VPSF 2026, the Ninh Binh Young Entrepreneurs Association also organised the second Ninh Binh Young Entrepreneurs Trade Promotion Exhibition 2026.

The exhibition featured products and services from member enterprises of the Ninh Binh Young Entrepreneurs Association, providing a platform for businesses to introduce their products, business models, and services while promoting their brands and connecting with members, guests, and partners./.
