Ninh Binh launches, inaugurates four projects to welcome 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day

Ninh Binh province on August 19 held groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for four projects and works to welcome the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

Provincial leaders attending the ceremony included Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Le Quoc Chinh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Pham Quang Ngoc, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

The North-South high-speed railway’s section running through Dong Van ward has a length of 4.81 kilometers. Total reclaimed land area is 25.4 hectares, including 0.63 hectares of residential land.
In order to serve site clearance for construction of the North-South high-speed railway project, Ninh Binh approved to build resettlement areas in Dong Van ward (location 2). The People’s Committee of Dong Van ward is the investor of the project.
The project covers an area of 1.17 hectares with total investment capital of 9.91 billion VND. The construction time lasts from 2025 to 2026. To date, all conditions need for the construction are ensured.
*The same day, PepsiCo Vietnam Co. Ltd. held an inauguration ceremony for its PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Plant (first phase) in the expanded Dong Van I Industrial Zone in Dong Van ward.

Construction of the PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Plant started in August 2024. It covers an area of 8 hectares in the Dong Van I Industrial Zone with total investment capital of nearly 90 million USD. The plant has capacity of over 25,000 tonnes of products a year.
It was built on the basis of green economy transition and circular economy. It uses 100% of renewable energy to operate and applies AI to manage quality of product. Its circular water treatment system uses cutting-edge technology to treat wastewater in order to meet the highest standard of environment protection.
In the first phase of operations, it will create jobs for around 300 workers in production lines and a total of more than 1,000 direct and indirect labourers in agricultural production (planting tomato) and distribution network.
After its stable operations in 2030, the plant is expected to earn 2 trillion VND in revenue a year, contribute 180 billion VND to the budget and create jobs for 530 labourers.
*Also on August 19 morning, the provincial People’s Committee hosted a ground-breaking ceremony for a project to build social houses in Hoa Lu ward.

The project is located in Hoa Lu ward of Ninh Binh province, invested by the provincial Development Investment Fund, with a total investment of over 1.9 trillion VND.
The project includes six 15-storey social housing apartment blocks and one 15-storey commercial housing apartment block. The project will provide 1,250 social housing units, 352 commercial housing units and a synchronous traffic system, trees, playgrounds, parking lots and other technical infrastructure. It will be implemented in the period of 2025-2030.
The objective of the project is to meet the housing needs of people and beneficiaries of social housing support policies inside and outside the area according to the provisions of law. The project also aims to build a modern housing area with synchronous architecture, technical infrastructure and social infrastructure; develop towards green urban areas, save energy, develop sustainably, reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment.
*Also in the morning of August 19, Ninh Binh Nitrogenous Fertiliser One-Member Co., Ltd. (Khanh Phu industrial park) started a project to upgrade the system of sulfur collection for acid production.
