Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Song Tung addresses at the ceremony.
Addressing at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Song Tung called upon each person, family, agency, unit, enterprise plant at least one green tree, regarding these trees as their commitments of building a fresh and sustainable environment for future generations.
To deepen the movement, Tung suggested authorities at all levels, sectors, and localities shift from a "periodic tree planting" mindset to "sustainable management and care." Each locality and unit must consider this a regular political task.
At the same time, tree planting should be linked to the planning and construction of heritage cities; selecting tree species suitable to the soil, forming "green lungs" in historical sites, roads, rivers, and rural areas, creating a harmonious green identity between conservation and development, he said.
It is necessary to mobilise the combined strength of the entire political system and society; promote the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organisations in mobilising the people to participate in planting, caring for, and protecting green trees; and prevent acts of damaging green trees and destroying the environment, Tung stressed.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, provincial leaders, delegates, and people of Hoa Lu ward participated in planting approximately 350 trees along Dinh Tien Hoang road./.
