Hoa Lu city completes task of building new-style rural areas

According to Decision 672/QĐ-TTg signed on March 27, 2025 by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Hoa Lu city has fulfilled the task of building new-style rural areas.

Hoa Lu city has been established by merging Ninh Binh city and Hoa Lu district under Resolution 1318/NQ-UBTVQH dated December 10, 2024 by the National Assembly Standing Committee on rearranging administrative units at the district and commune levels in Ninh Binh province in the 2023-2025 period.

After the emergence, Hoa Lu city covers a total natural area of over 150 sq.km with a population of 237,000. It consists of 15 wards and five communes.

Hoa Lu city has a strategic location as it connects with national highways in the southern part of the Red River Delta, thus ensuring trade exchanges with other regions nationwide.

It boasts to numerous magnificent landscapes as well as cultural and heritage values.

Hoa Lu city is oriented to become a millennium heritage city and a model of green, harmonic and sustainable development based on cultural and heritage resources.

The Deputy PM assigned the Ninh Binh provincial People’s Committee to declare the decision and steer Hoa Lu city to maintain and increase the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environment criteria in a bid to ensure sustainability in building new-style rural areas.
