Departments of Public Security of Ninh Binh and Shanxi sign MoU on cooperation

Attending the talks and signing ceremony were Sen. Lt. Gen. Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security; and Pham Quang Ngoc, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

Director of Ninh Binh’s Department of Public Security Dinh Viet Dung and Vice Governor and Head of the Public Security Bureau of Shaanxi province Dai Binbin co-chaired the talks and signing ceremony.

At the talks, the two sides exchanged views on a number of contents related to the socio-economic and cultural situation and ensuring social security in the two provinces in recent years.

The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the fields of protecting political security, cybersecurity; managing non-governmental organisations; preventing and controlling illegal religious activities; counterterrorism; fighting  transnational crimes such as drug smuggling, human trafficking, online gambling and cyber crime.

They also agreed to enhance safety for big projects, diplomatic agencies, legitimate interests of businesses and citizens of Vietnam and China in Ninh Binh and Shanxi provinces.

The MoU became effective on the date of signing and is valid for five years.
