The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Ninh Binh province coordinated with Bai Dinh pagoda celebrated Buddha's 2569th birthday with a ceremony held at Bai Dinh Pagoda on May 10. Secretary of provincial party committee Doan Minh Huan presents flowers to congratulates Buddha's 2569th birthday.

Attending the event were Secretary of provincial party committee Doan Minh Huan; Chairman of provincial people's council Mai Van Tuan; Vice Chaiman of provincial people's committee Tong Quang Thin, among others.
Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ninh Binh province, local sectors, branches, and Xuan Truong construction company and thousands of Buddhist monks, nuns and followers, and locals also joined the event.

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council delivered a message of the VBS's Supreme Patriarch, which called on monks and nuns to do good deeds and make more contributions to the nation.
Bui Mai Hoa, Head of the provincial Party Committee's propaganda and mass mobilisation board extended her congratulations to dignitaries, monks and nuns, and people on Buddha's birthday.
She attributed Ninh Binh's comprehensive achievements to contributions of religious organisations in the province, including the VBS's Ninh Binh chapter.
The official noted her hope that the provincial chapter and each Buddhist monk and nun will materialise the message of the VBS's Supreme Patriarch by specific, practical actions.
Hoa hoped that the dignitaries and Buddhist followers in the province would continuously support the policy of streamlining the administrative apparatus, encourage Buddhist followers to participate in economic development, build a civilised life, support various movements, and patriotic emulation campaigns, contributing to improving the people's livelihoods and strengthening the great unity of the entire nation.
On this occasion, Tte Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Ninh Binh chapter and Xuan Truong construction company handed over 200 gifts to disadvantaged students in Gia Vien and Nho Quan districts.
