Work starts on road DT.477 upgrade and Hoang Long bridge project

The ceremony was attended by Tran Huy Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Dang Quynh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Quoc Chinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Dinh Thi Lua, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

The DT.477 and Hoang Long bridge project is considered particularly important to the implementation of the Ninh Binh Provincial Master Plan for 2021 2030, with a vision to 2050. It isexpected to establish an important inter-regional transport corridor connecting Ninh Binh with Phu Tho province and other provinces in the mountainous northwestern region.

The project is invested in by the Ninh Binh Provincial Project Management Board No. 1, with the Xuan Thanh Cuong Thinh Thi consortium serving as the main construction contractor.

With a total length of approximately 27.9km, the project passes through nine communes: Gia Van, Dai Hoang, Gia Vien, Gia Hung, Gia Tuong, Gia Lam, Phu Son, Nho Quan and Gia Phong. The project has a total investment of over 6.97 trillion VND.

The main route, stretching 22.37km, will be upgraded to Class III plain-road standards, featuring four lanes and three four-lane bridges. The road platform will be 43m wide, with a design speed of 80km/h.

Branch route 1, approximately 3km long, will include the construction of new Hoang Long bridge. The bridge will be 699.8m long and 20.5m wide, with four-lane approach roads at both ends and a road platform 26m wide.

Branch route 2, approximately 2.6km long, will be upgraded and widened based on the existing roadbed and pavement to meet Class III plain-road standards with two lanes.

Representing the contractor consortium, Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Chairman of Xuan Thanh Group, pledged to mobilismaximum resources for the project, including machinery, equipment and a team of experienced experts, engineers and workers. The consortium will organise construction in a coordinated and systematic manner to ensure quality and progress.

The contractor will strictly control the quality of every project component and construction stage, while complying with regulations on occupational safety, traffic safety and environmental protection. Efforts will also be made to minimise disruption to local residents’ daily lives and production activities within the project area.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Nguyen Cao Son, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, described the project as one of the province’s key infrastructure projects.

He said the project would play an important role in upgrading strategic transport routes and gradually completing the province’s road transport infrastructure in line with the provincial master plan. It is also expected to create an integrated transport corridor linking the northeastern and northwestern areas, as well as connecting the northern and southern parts of former Ninh Binh province.

Once completed, the route is expected to form an important logistics corridor, helping reduce transport costs and facilitating investment in industry, services, tourism and urban development. The project will also expand the province’s development space, enhance its competitiveness and contribute to faster and more sustainable socio-economic growth.

Given the project’s importance, Son called on the investor to work closely with consultants, contractors and supervision units to ensure that construction is carried out in accordance with the approved design, schedule and quality requirements. Relevant departments and local authorities were also urged to coordinate closely to promptly address difficulties and obstacles arising during implementation.

Local authorities in areas along the project route were asked to accelerate and complete site clearance in the remaining areas, while ensuring stable livelihoods for affected residents and meeting the project’s schedule requirements.

Construction contractors and supervision consultants were instructed to mobilise maximum resources, machinery and equipment, arrange adequate and appropriate work shifts, and make full use of favorable weather conditions to maintain continuous and safe construction. They were also required to ensure technical standards, construction quality, aesthetics and environmental sanitation throughout the project./.
