The Ministry of Information and Communications on October 24 coordinated with the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Ninh Binh provincial People’s Committee to organise a forum on data strategy for AI development and digital transformation in the province.At the forum.

In his opening remarks, Vice Minister of Information and CommunicationsPhan Tam stressed that the Party, State and Government have defined that digital transformation plays an important role in the country’s socio-economic development. Of which, data is seen as an important resource and a new material for production.

Data, AI and digital transformation are the important key factors in the next development period and they will provide opportunities for the country to change, make breakthroughs and expand space for development, Tam said,
He also put forth some suggestions for Ninh Binh to choose when expediting digital transformation.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan said that the forum provided a chance for managers, experts, scientists and firms to discuss and share experiences, solutions and initiatives related to digital transformation.
This was also an occasion for state management agencies and enterprises to seek orientations, strategies, and solutions for data development and application of digital technology to spurring digital transformation in Vietnam in general and in Ninh Binh in particular more rapidly and effectively.

At the forum, participants discussed and shared experiences in building data strategies for AI development; steping up digital transformation in Ninh Binh; applying data technology and digital technology in the province’s digital economy development; developing the cultural industry based on digital transformation and green transition; data exploitation and AI application for local governance and administrative reform at the provincial level.
