Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Cao Son has requested faster construction progress and ensuring quality of transport projects.

Son made the request on August 11 while inspecting construction sites and progress of several transport projects whose investor is Nam Dinh management board of investment andconstruction projects.

The project has a total investment of nearly 370 billion VND, of which over 105 billion VND is sourced from the central budget and the rest comes from the provincial budget, land auctions and other legal sources.
The route is 7.21km long, including the main route of 5.57km and the branch route of 1.63km. Currently, 89% of the site has been handed over, but there are still many locations with households, graves and resettlement requirements, causing construction interruptions.
The construction volume reached about 53% of the contract. By August 9, the implementation value is 210 billion VND.
At the site, a representative of the Project Management Board requested the locality to speed up site clearance, and asked for adjustments to some items and route design to suit the reality.

The project has a total length of 33.1km, with a total investment of nearly 9.1 trillion VND, divided into three component projects. By August 9, the volume of implementation reached 5.8 trillion VND.
The Project Management Board is completing the handover and acceptance procedures and proposing adjustments and additions to the design based on reality.
Speaking at the site, Son emphasised the importance of the projects in completing the provincial transport development plan and investment orientation for the National Road Network Plan for the period of 2021 - 2030 with a vision to 2050.
When completed, it will increase regional connectivity, better meet the needs of freight transport and travel of the people. The projects are also a highlight of the urban landscape and create momentum for socio-economic development, contributing to attracting investment and urban development.
To ensure the progress and quality of the project, Son requested the Project Management Board to closely coordinate with localities to accelerate site clearance, and urge contractors and construction units to speed up construction progress.
Particularly for the Project to build a road connecting the Day river’s left dike to road 57B in Y Yen, Son requested the communes of Y Yen and Van Thang to urgently establish a compensation council, support site clearance to develop a plan for land recovery and land allocation to households according to regulations, and soon have the site handed over to the construction unit.
For households that have not yet measured and counted assets on the land, continue communication and mobilisation work. In case the households still do not agree, the Project Management Board will coordinate with the locality to develop a plan to enforce and protect the construction after September 2.
