Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attends inauguration ceremony of 2nd facilities of Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals

The province was among many other localities across the country that held ground-breaking, inauguration and technical opening ceremonies for infrastructure project as part of the nationwide emulation movement leading to the 14th National Party Congress.

The event saw attendance of Dang Xuan Phong, member of the party central coommittee, Secretary of provincial party committee, Head of provincial NA’s delegation of deputies; Nguyen Anh Chuc, Vice Chairman of provincial people’s committee, and leaders of some sectors, branches.

According to Decision of investment, each of the two facilities had been projected to have 1,000 beds with an investment capital estimated at nearly VND5 trillion (more than $191 million). Their construction started in 2014.

The construction of the two hospitals have been completed, ensuring the quality, technical and aesthetical conditions.

This is considered a step of strategic significance, demonstrating the proactive spirit and high political responsibility of Bach Mai Hospital in implementing the major policy of the Party and Government on reducing the burden on the upper level, while improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people in the southern area of Hanoi and neighboring provinces.

In phase 1, more than 600 experienced doctors, nurses and technicians from Hanoi will be mobilized to Ninh Binh. These are all core forces, with high professional qualifications, and have participated in the treatment of many difficult and complex cases.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Thi Hong Lan acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Health, the Project Management Board, the two hospitals and contractors in implementing their tasks to achieve positive results in the construction progress of the two projects.

In the time to come, the Ministry of Health continues to steer Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals to hasten procedures so as to put them into use.

The Ministry would work closely with Ninh Binh to handle issues related to connecting infrastructure, services at the two hospital, especially mechanisms, policies to ensure the livelihood for medical cadres and staffs., Lan added.

During the ceremony, delegates pressed the buttons to inaugurate technically for the two projects.
