Ninh Binh’s tourism sector earns nearly 18 trillion VND in first half of 2026

Ninh Binh province welcomed more than 17.61 million tourist arrivals in the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.34%, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

Of the total, the number of domestic visitors reached over 15.8 million while the number of international tourists exceeded 1.8 million. The sector earned nearly 18 trillion VND (683.9 million USD) in revenue, up 21.75% against same period last year.
One of the highlights was the successful organisation of the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026, themed "Ninh Binh - A Journey of Heritage Through the Ages," attracting 634,582 visitors, a 30.84% increase.
Total tourism revenue during the event is estimated at nearly 974 billion VND, a 29.83% increase compared to the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025.
The programme included many unique activities such as the Tam Coc Golden Festival, the Trang An Creative Music Festival, the 2026 Vietnam Yosakoi Festival, the opening of the Ninh Binh beach tourism season, the "Tam Coc Golden Season" photography tour, and traditional art performances and cultural activities such as water puppetry, Cheo singing, and Xam singing.
In addition, digital transformation in tourism was implemented with many solutions to enhance visitors’ experiences and the effectiveness of state management.
The Department of Tourism is coordinating the completion of the Ninh Binh Tourism Information Portal, implementing the digitisation of destination data, integrating digital maps, search utilities, chatbots to support tourists online, and cashless payments.
The system of five kiosks at tourist spots and 32 free Wi-Fi hotspots has recorded over 40,000 visits to access tourism information./.
