    Vietnam posts 8.18% GDP growth in H1 2026

    Vietnam's socio-economic performance remained strong in the first six months of 2026, with positive results recorded across most sectors. Gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 8.18% year-on-year, up from the 7.63% growth recorded in the same period of 2025.

    9th National Congress of Vietnam Farmers’ Union convenes in Hanoi

    Vietnam sends over 53,100 workers abroad in five months

    Japan remained the top destination, taking in 24,030 workers, including 10,750 women. Taiwan (China) followed with 21,104 workers, 6,752 of them women. The Republic of Korea (RoK) received 3,217, China 1,498, Singapore 704, Greece 441 and Russia 344.

    Vietnam promotes global participation in UN Convention against Cybercrime

    Adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 24, 2024, and opened for signature in Hanoi in October 2025, the convention is the first global multilateral treaty dedicated to combating cybercrime. A total of 72 countries signed the convention during the opening ceremony in Hanoi, laying a strong foundation for its early entry into force and its role as a new international framework for combating cybercrime.

    Vietnam attends First International Security Forum in Moscow

    Both sides pointed to substantive, positive outcomes in cultural and tourism cooperation from 2021-2025, citing successful cultural weeks in each country, cultural and art activities marking important occasions of the two Parties and countries, and the effective delivery of agreements reached by leaders that further fostered the special Vietnam Laos relationship.

    Economic and trade cooperation has remained the main pillar of Vietnam-RoK relations. Two-way trade reached 89.5 billion USD in 2025, up 9.6% from 2024, and 26.9 billion USD in the first three months of 2026, an increase of 30% year-on-year.
