With its diverse ecosystem, Ninh Binh province possesses favourable conditions for developing OCOP products linked to sustainable tourism development.

The Hoa Lu Festival has long been a source of pride for residents of the ancient capital. This annual traditional festival, held in Ninh Bình, commemorates and pays tribute to the merits of Dinh Tien Hoang, along with previous emperors and ancestors in the cause of nation-building and defense.

Recently, at the 2025 National OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Conference, Ninh Binh province had four products recognised as achieving 5-star OCOP certification.

The Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision recognising 34 “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) items in the province in 2025.

Despite significant potential, many operators acknowledge persistent challenges to scaling and systematising the OCOP-community tourism model.

Vietnam now has 16,855 certified OCOP products rated three stars or higher. Of these, 76.2% are three-star products, 22.7% are four-star and 126 products have achieved five-star national recognition.
