The People’s Committee of the northern province of Ninh Binh has decided to establish a conservation area to conserve and develop the limestone mountain forest ecosystem and endemic, endangered, precious and rare plant and animal species, particularly the Delacour’s langur population.
Authorities and leading heritage experts have underscored the outstanding universal value of the proposed Van Long-Kim Bang -Tam Chuc Delacour’s langur cultural and ecological landscape as preparations advance for its nomination as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on July 16 visited and presented gifts to war invalids and sick veterans at the Kim Bang Invalids Nursing Centre in Ninh Binh province on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 2026).
The project to establish the Kim Bang Delacour’s Langur Conservation Area covers an area of approximately 3,182 hectares and is expected to be implemented in 2026. Relevant agencies are currently carrying out the necessary steps.
