The province’s agro-forestry-fishery production value was estimated at 10.35 trillion VND, posting a year-on-year increase of 2.7%. Its average production value reached nearly 160 million VND per hectare, 1.3% higher than the yearly plan.
Notably, the digitalisation and application of advanced scientific technologies have been stepped up, thus zoning off hi-tech agricultural zones and agriculture production chains. The value of local farm products has been raised.
The livestock sector has well controlled animal diseases and the total herd of pigs, poultry, and cows all experienced growth. The livestock sector’s production value was estimated to reach 2.42 trillion VND, up 5.07% compared to that of the previous year.
Though suffering from natural disasters, the aquaculture production still saw growth thanks to diversification of its products. The province’s aquaculture production value witnessed a rise of 3% with 2.3 trillion VND in value. Local people have expanded the breeding of high value species.
The new-style rural areas building has reaped considerable achievements. Yen Khanh district became the first district in Ninh Binh to get the status of advanced new-style rural area. Besides, 15 communes have met standards of advanced rural new-style areas while six others have been recognised as model new-style rural areas.
Ninh Binh province is finalising its dossiers to be recognised as completing tasks of building new-style rural areas in 2025.
These recorded achievements have served as a solid foundation for the agriculture sector to fulfill its targets set for 2025.
The sector is striving to reach a growth rate of 3.1% or higher with its production value of over 165 million VND per hectare.
The province is also expecting to complete the tasks of building new-style rural areas in 2025.
